General

• Use the hand-wash station provided at the start of the task
• Use the hand-wash provided before leaving the station
• Use the foot dip at the start of the task, if provided
• Use the foot dip at the completion of the task, if provided
• Wear appropriate CLEAN protective clothing
• Enter and leave the stable, pen or area safely
• Close any gate or door securely
• At all times ensure that you act in a way which is safe to the animals, yourself and any other persons in the examination area
• Act in a way to cause minimal stress to the animal
• Approach the animal in a way that is appropriate for the species
