  • Woodrow Wilson suffered from strokes, this is believed by a few historians to be the reason as to why some of the 14 points was changed
  • Since 1879, Austro-Hungary were Germany's biggest allies, but the empire collapsed. Although, Austria was made up of 8 million people, it wasn't allowed to unify with Germany due to the Treaty of Versailles.

  • Reparations were not fixed in the Treaty of Versailles. In 1921, the Reparations Commission established the sum of 144 billion RM, £6.6billion. Many Germans argued they couldn't afford to pay this off, although this is debated.
