Results - split brain research

• results for right visual field 


  pic flashed e.g. dog, to the right visual field and patient was asked what they saw, they would answer "dog". Bc the visual info is processed by the left hemisphere and lang centres are in the left hemisphere. This allows them to vocally point of the dog
• results for left visual field 


  pic flashed of a cat to the left visual field, the patient processed the visual info in the right hemisphere but wouldn't be able to call it a cat. This is bc the lang centre is in the left hemisphere but w/c a corpus callosum, the two hemispheres can't communicate so the patient can't verbally name the object
