• Vector - a quantity that has a direction and magnitude
• Resolving vectors - the act of splitting vectors up into two vector components
• Mass, distance, volume, density, time, speed, and pressure are all examples of scalar quantities
• Displacement, velocity, acceleration, momentum, force, and current are all examples of vector quantities
• Distance is an example of a scalar quantity
