Specific heat capacity practical

• How to do the SHC practical:

  1.Set up equipment by plugging in the power pack and setting the volts at 12 and 1.

  2.Wrap the block of aluminium in bubble wrap and then a layer of cardboard. Secure with a rubberband.

  3.Insert the heater inside the block and connect each wire to the power pack, ammeter, voltmeter and aluminium.

  4.Place the thermometer inside the hole of the block and fill with water to get rid of air gaps.

  5.Turn the power on and record the temperature every minute.
