Gravity

• gravity on earth is 10 N/kg
• falling on earth is an acceleration of 10m/s^2
• weight (N) = mass (Kg) x gravity (N/kg)
• the acceleration due to gravity (g) varies with height above or below the surface of the Earth, so the weight of an object also changes depending on its location.
• mass does not change but weight can as it depends on the gravitational field strength
• centripetal force is the resultant force when things are moving in a circle
• things in a centripetal force have constant speed but changing velocity which acts at a tangent to the direction of centripetal force
• inertia is the tendency of objects to remain stationary unless acted upon by a net external force
