    - London is already a 'green city' due to its many parks, but maintaining and improving this is important.
    • It is estimated that there are about 8 million trees in London, and about 20% of London is covered in trees.
    • Increasing green infrastructure like roof top gardens ad green walls: there are around 700 green roofs in central London alone, covering an area of over 17.5 hectares
    • Creating a 'green grid' to connect green spaces with rows of trees or green infrastructure to make it easier for wildlife to migrate. This is done through maintaining trees, hedgerows and parks.
