Determinist (soft) - behaviour is controlled by environmental forces such as modelling and imitation.
What is the cognitive approach?
Determinist (soft) - cognitive system can only operate within the limits that we know but we are free to think before responding to a stimulus
What is the biological approach?
Biologically determinist - human behaviour governed by internal biological features e.g genetics which we have no control over
What is the psychodynamic approach?
Psychic determinist - unconscious forces drive our behaviour and stem from early, traumatic childhoodexperiences which we have no control over.
What is the humanistic approach?
Free will - humans are self-determining but we are affected by external/internal influences but we are active agents who determine our own development.
