      Properties- Has a bleached pulp surface layer and middle unbleached layers, can be scored
      Cost- inexpensive
    • Corrugated board
      Weight- 130 gsm
      Description- It is a packaging material formed by gluing a fluted corrugated sheet to one or two pieces of flat linerboard
      Uses- Used for packaging products that need protection
      Properties- Light in weight and sturdy
      Cost- inexpensive (cheaper than plastic)
    • Solid white board
      Weight- 200-500 gsm
      Description- It is made from bleached chemical pulp which can be coated to create a moisture barrier
      Uses- Used for book covers, cards and packaging
      Properties- Smooth on both sides, stiff, can be cut or scored, best quality board for printing on
      Cost- Expensive (because of additional cost of bleaching wood pulp)
    • Foil lined board
      Weight- 200-400 gsm
      Description- It is white card coated or laminated with aluminium foil bonded onto one side
      Uses- Used for drink cartons and takeaway containers
      Properties- Aluminium foil lining (makes it waterproof, helps to retain heat), stiff, oil-resistant
      Cost- Expensive

      Description- It is a type of cardboard made from two layers of bleached chemical pulp (also known as white lined chipboard)
      Uses- Used for food packaging, packaging of clothes/shipped items

      Cost- cheaper than whiteboard
