The right coronary artery branches off the ascending aorta. It passes around the right side of the heart in the coronary sulcus, giving branches to the right atrium and right ventricle, including the atrioventricular branches, the sinoatrial nodal branch, the right marginal artery, the atrioventricular nodal branch, and the posterior interventricular branch.
