  • Online - using the internet
  • On-demand - uses technology to assist customers conveniently, e.g Uber Eats
  • Micro - Large:
    • Micro - less than 5 employees (e.g babysitters)
    • Small - 5 to 19 employees (e.g electronics repairs)
    • Medium - 20-199 employees (e.g retail stores)
    • Large - 200 or more employees (usually operate on a national or global scale - e.g Amazon)"
  • Global - a large company that has multiple branches in different companies.
  • Government - a business that is owned and operated by the government
  • Not for profit:
    • a business that serves the community without earning profit
    • Services managed through donations/earning + recieves tax concession to pay less tax.
  • Offshore:
    • a business that has its production in a different country (often a developing country to take advantage of cheaper production costs and savings)
    • under large pressure to ensure their employees in developing countries are not exploited by unethical businesses
