At each heartbeat, blood is pumped into your arteries. It makes the artery wall expand and then contract. One expansion and contraction is called a pulse.
By counting your pulse you can check your heart rate.
When at rest, the average heartbeats about 70 beats per minute (Bpm). As soon as we start exercises this rises.
This occurs because your body is desperate for oxygen. and is trying to get rid of carbon dioxide.
This immediate rise is known as a short termeffect of exercise.
Long term effect is that your heart grows bigger and stronger (Hypertrophy).
Stroke Volume - This is the volume of blood pumped out of the heart by each ventricle during one beat/contraction.
When exercising, chambers of the heart fill more and empty more due to heart beating faster.
