NAZI GERMANY EFFECT ON YOUNG PEOPLE

• • The Nazis used the education system to brainwash young people with Nazi ideology, this involved: rewriting textbooks, controlling teachers and changing the curriculum of every subject to promote Nazi beliefs
  • They did this to create a generation of loyal Nazi followers
• • Teachers had to identify students who could be future Nazi leaders, they went to special academies called Napolas
  • The Hitler Youth organisation set up schools called Adolf Hitler Schools where students had physical exercise and lots of exams, they were labelled as ideal Nazis

  • Young Folk
  • Hitler Youth
  • Young Girls
  • League of German Girls
• Some people refused to join Hitler Youth and went to parties, listened to American jazz music and had Jewish friends, these were called the Swing Youth
