• Who is Clive wearing?


  A BBC presenter who suffers form encephalitis. Clive has an impared STm of 7 seconds. He does have extensive LTM. This demonstrates how the STM and LTM are different stores.
• Who is HM


  A annonymous man with epilepsy. He had brain surgery which damaged the transition between STM and LTM. He is able to recall all events before the surgery, but is unable to create new memories.
• What are the weaknesses to MSM


  The model is oversimplified as STM comprises of different components, there are multiple LTM stores and rehearsal is not always necessary between STM and LTM.
