• Mathetes is the one who direct his mind to something; a pupil or a student.
• Disciple is the one who attaches himself to a teacher and follows his teaching.
• Christian Discipleship is the transformation process that turns a believer into a person that God wants him to be
• 4 Elements of Christian Disciplineship

  • Accept Jesus as my master
  • Commitment to the person of Jesus
  • Attachment to the person of Jesus
  • Life long relationship with Jesus
• Being a disciple is losing one's life to Christ for His sake and the Gospel.
• Christian Moral Life is basically following Christ
• Being a disciple means being a humble servant
• Qualities of a Disciple:

  • Disciple is one who hears from his master
  • Disciple is one who obeys his master
  • Disciple is one who learns from his master
  • Disciple is one who knows his master

• Service - Also known as diakonia
• Koinonia - Christian fellowship or communion, with God or, more commonly, with fellow christians.
• Diakonia - Service, ministering, especially of those who execute the commands of others; of those who by the command of God proclaim and promote religion among men.
