• A white blood cell will engulf a pathogen and digestive enzymes will digest the microorganism
• Producing antibodies

  Every pathogen has antigen on its surface which is detected by the body

  When a WBC encounters a pathogen, it produces antibodies which bind to the antigen so they can be found and destroyed by other WBCs
