  • Strength
A strength of the questionnaire is that there is a high reliability as there will be the same questions and number of questions in the questionnaire. Therefore, it would allow for the questionnaires' results to be replicated easily to test for consistency.
  • Strength
A strength is that the questionnaire will include reverse scoring and wording on some questions. This will allow the researcher to discover greater accuracy of the data collection as it will help to account for response bias, and increase the validity.
  • Weakness
People do not always tell the truth, therefore the results may not be accurate. They may lie due to not knowing what they think about a topic or not knowing how they would act in that scenario. Also, they may not want to look foolish and want to make themselves ‘look better’, this is called social desirability bias.
  • Weakness
The group of people involved in the study may be biased because only certain kinds of people fill out questionnaires, such as literate individuals who are willing to spend time completing them. This means there will be a lack of a diverse sample, meaning it is less representative and will lower the generalisability of the sample.
