  • Government/Council Webistes

    Political Agenda -> the ruling party will want to be re-elected so may be selective in the use of the facts - not report or focus fully on the negative aspects.
  • The Guardian
    Well known for being a centre-left wing newspaper so they may provide political bias that favours left wing policies and approaches.
  • Channel four news
    Well known for being a centre-left wing reporter so they may provide political bias that favours left wing policies and approaches.
  • The Daily Mail
    A well-known tabloid, right wing newspaper which supports right wing political views and therefore be more favourable to them -> biased views.
  • Wikepedia
    It can be edited by anyone which means it is not always experts on the subject who are writing the articles and if anyone can edit them then the information may not be completely accurate or true.
  • Pressure Groups
    May provide one sided, biased information because they are trying to highlight a particular cause.
  • IPOS Mori
    • It may only be filled in by a small number of people meaning it isn't representative if the population
    • If it says adapted it means that the data may have been adjusted in a certain way, making it less reliable.
  • YouGov
    • People who don't have a YouGov account or access to the internet do not fill these in so they do not cover a wide range of people.
    • If it says adapted it means the data has been tampered with.
    • If only a small amount of people filled it in, it makes it less representative of the population views.
  • Newspapers in general
    BIAS. They promote a political agenda -> focuing on certain points, omitting others and spinning a story to support the political party they endorse.
