Bacteria

• These are microscopic single celled organisms
• they have a cell wall, cell membrane and cytoplasm
• they also have plasmids, circular chromosomes of dna
• they don’t have a nucleus
• some photosynthesise, but most feed off other living or dead organisms
• bacteria can be good or bad, with lactobacillus Bulgaricus assisting in the production of yoghurt, and pneumococcus , a pathogenic bacteria responsible for pneumonia
