Reducing carbon footprint

  Walking, cycling, reducing air travel, public transport
• Renewable energy resources such as nuclear or wind farms instead of fossil

  Still very expensive
• Government tax on companies or individuals based on their emissions - car tax over a certain distance so people buy more fuel efficient cars
• Cap on emissions of all greenhouse gases that companies make
• Carbon capture technology - hard to use as they have to capture it at the release of greenhouse gases
• Governments are concerned about changes in the economy by making any drastic changes to laws on carbon emissions
