    • The general population isn’t active enough, despite knowing the benefits of exercise & consequences of no exercise. Psychological theory can be used to support people in getting people active & staying active 
    • Technology reduce PA, can shop without moving etc 
    • E-bike can be good, esp for older populations
    • Motives differ from person to person, & the type of motive for PA can influence PA maintenance
    • Barriers can be external or internal (psych blocks). How we approach these barriers will need to be different
    • Exercise behaviour = Exerciser (P) x Exercise Environment (E). B = f (P x E)
    • To understand behaviour change we need to explore the underlying psychology
    • Psychological theory can be used to support people in getting active & staying active, to guide interventions & our practice
