    • Where a person is at in terms of their PA journey & how ready they are to change is described by the Stages of Change theory 
    • Can ask why they’re there?
    • What stage they are at ?
    • eg Have you thought about exercising before 
    • Be aware of where influence how work with them - as will use different approaches
    • Depending on where a client is, people require different approaches to how they are supported in their PA journey
    • Building an intention to exercise is described by the Theory of Planned Behaviour. Some components of TPB have stronger evidence than others, but it provides a useful framework to think about intention building 
    • Still some aspects not supported & other factors don’t know but still good to look at 
    • Important aspect as in building that intention
