  • Scalar has only a magnitude, no direction, e.g length mass speed
    Vector has a magnitude and a direction, e.g Velocity displacement momentum
  • For parallel vectors we either add them or take them away from each other
  • Perpendicular vectors:
    We line them up so that they are tip to tail and then us Pythagoras
  • Resolving vectors:
    Split them up into horizontal and vertical components and then use trigonometry to solve
  • For non purpendicular vectors use cosine rule/ sine rule
