    Infrastructure = economic base of production
    Super-structure = social institutions which serves power to the infrastructure

    The bourgeoise exploit the labout of the working class, the surplus value made by them is pocketed by the capitalsit class creating great inequalities in wealth and income

    Reproduce the values and ideas of the ruling class into accpeting their unequal position to create a false class consciousness to reinforce class inequalities

    Society is divided into owners and non-owners.
    Non-owners create more than needed creating a surplus value, workers do not get the full value of their wage and are being exploited.

    Ideas created by ruling class are applied to working class through religion, media, law, education and family that makes it difficult to challenge
    It is possible for WC to create change in the economy through ideas known as liberation theology

    The state maintains its power through hegemony to not challenge the system. However workers have dual-consciousness to develop their own ideas and challenge inequality (liberation theology)
