    Who created the text
  • Reciever
    Who is consuming the text
  • Field
    Topic of the text often indicated by vocabulary- specialist words
  • Mode
    What medium the text is (spoken, written, etc.)
  • Multi-Modal
    A text containing multiple modes in it. e.g, a TV advert has text, a voiceover, and moving images
  • Manner
    The level of formality, how impersonal/personal something is.
