Menstrual Crycle

• Puberty - it marks the beginning of menstrual cycle
• Menarche- the process of setting in of menstrual cycle in female body
• 29-29 days - average length of  menstrual cycle
• Menstrual Phase- this is phase  where the endometrium start to breakdown.
• Not fertelized- caused of the breakdown and shred off of endometrium
• Bleeding- what happen to uterus if the egg cell is not fertelized causing the endometrium to shred off
• 3-7 days - how many days menstrual occur
• Follicular - this phase where  the primary follicle mature to graffian follicle
• Regenerate- what happen to endometrium if mature follicle become graffian
• Ovarian and Pituitary glands- main reason of the changes in Endometrium
• FSH and LH- causes of maturation of follicle in ovary
• Estrogen- growing follicle produce
• Ovum- it was release due to the peak of LH and follicle stimulating FSH during 14th day
• Ovulatory Phase- this phase is the peak of LH and follicle stimulating FSH in 14th day causing the mature follicle to release ovum
• Luteal Phase- during this period, the corpus luteum degenerate causing the disintegration of the endometrium and start the new cycle
• Corpus luteum- what happen to the remain of graffian follicle during follicular phase
• Progesterone - produce by corpus luteum to maintain the layer of endometrium as preparation for fertilization
• Menopause - ovaries stop producing estrogen and where the menstrual stop
• 50- age where menopause can happen
