Life after death

• Muslims believe in the resurrection of the body on the Day of Judgment.
• In Islam, the afterlife is known as the Akhirah and is believed to be eternal.
• Paradise (Jannah) and Hellfire (Jahannam) are the two destinations in the afterlife, determined by one's deeds in this world.
• Muslims believe in the concept of Barzakh, which is the period between death and the Day of Judgment.
• While in the grave, God sends two angels to question them about their faith. If they answer correctly, they will see the rewards to come, but if they deny God, they will see the punishments they will have to endure. Everyone who has ever lived will be raised from the dead and judged by God. They will be given new bodies and the book of their life will be given to them.
