  • Before Mass production, pioneered by Henry Ford, it took 12 hours to build a Model T in a workshop.
    The Assembly line changed this.
  • On October 31 1925, at the peak of mass production, a Ford Model T car was being produced every 10 seconds.
When this came into place, Model T car prices dropped from $950 to $290.
This meant cars were far more affordable and there was a higher demand for them, which led to BOOM as demand for other products - steel, glass, textiles - also increased.
  • Every car was produced in black to make mass production easier.
Lots of people buying the same car: affordable.
    Large increase in car ownership.
