• Jobs are centered around knowledge, information, and research (quaternary sector) - data analysis, finance, IT services
• The Met Office established its headquarter in Exeter in 2003 which employees 1,400 people
• In 2015, Exeter science park was established which created 3000 job opportunities, majority of these jobs requires highly skilled employees, such as those situated at Lympstone
• Exeter university is also a vast employer as it created 3000 jobs, and generates over £540 million to the local economy through employment and student spending
