After WW2, there was lots of migrants from the Caribbean, Southern Asia and the far east, who clustered into the innercity due to the cheap housing (just outside CBD)
These migrants filledgaps in the labour market such as taxi drivers, retail workers, and cleaners - all of which are low skilled jobs
This influx of migrants created new services such, as money transferring centers, for migrants to send back remittances to their country of origin
The 'Balti triangle' was also established in Birmingham which is an area with a high concentration of ethnicrestaurants which were established by migrants
