Genesis 1 explains how:
God
is the
only
creator
God
existed
before he
created
the
world
The world was well planned and is
sustained
by God
God
blessed
creation, which means that all creation is
holy
God created everything in
Heaven
and on Earth in
six
days
On the
seventh
day, God rested
on day one and two, God created the
light
and sky
on day three, he created dry land and
plants
on day four, he created the Sun, Moon and the
stars
on day five, he created the
sea
and
flying
creatures
on day six, he created
land
animals and humans
on day seven, he
rested
the Bible teaches that
God
created mankind in his
image
"So, God created
mankind
in his own
image
"
this shows how
important
all
humans
are to
God
it reminds
Christians
to spread
love
and
forgiveness
like God did
"
God
formed a
man
from the
dust
of the ground, and
breathed
into his nostrils the
breath of life
, and the man became a
living thing
."
God breathed life into
Adam
which allows
Christians
to believe they have
soul
(
non physical
,
spiritual dimension
that connects them with God)
some Christians believe that the
soul
lives on after death
having a soul sets humans apart from the rest of
creation
"Let us make man in our
image
.. and let them have
dominion
"
this shows how humans have
dominion
over God's creations
this does not mean that
humans
are able to
exploit
the Earth's resources
Christians believe that humanity's purpose is to look after the
world
God created like
stewards
this is because creation belongs to God, not
humans
Chrisitans believe that the Trinity was
present
at the creation
God the Father as the
creator
was present, and the Holy Spirit as
present
in "Let there be
light
"
John describes Jesus as present at the
creation
, as the
Word
"In the beginning was the
Word
, and the Word was with
God
"
interpretations:
literal
- some Christians interpret the Bible as completely
true
inspiraional - some Christians think that the Bible was writted by people but was
inspired
by God
they believe there may be
human
error
in the Bible
metaphorical
- some Christians believe the BIble is
symbolic
and also lean on
scientific
theories
