Predestination

• Sunni Muslims believe God has already determined everything that will happen in the universe in the book of deeds.
• "Only what God has decreed will happen to us"
• Predestination puts greater emphasis on God's omniscience, but less on human freedom. But it shows how supreme and powerful God's will is.
• Shi'a Muslims believe God knows everything that is going to happen but does not decide what is going to happen. People still have free will but humans are fairly judged on the day of judgement and are responsible for any punishment.
