Prophethood and Adam

• Adam was the first prophet, made from dust and is treated with great respect.
• “He created you from dust… you became human and scattered far and wide”
• “He taught Adam all the names”
• “He first created man from clay… then he moulded him; he breathed from his spirit into him; he gave you hearing, sight and minds”
• God told the angels to bow down to Adam, but Iblis (Satan) refused. He was thrown out of paradise and vowed to tempt humans to sin against God.
• Eve (Hawwa) was created for Adam but Iblis tempted them into disobeying God. They were thrown out of paradise and brought sin into the whole world and all humans would now be judged on the Day of Judgement.
