Condition that affects your
ability
to control your
blood sugar
level
Type 1 diabetes
-pancreas produces little to none
insulin
-blood
glucose
levels too high can rise to a level that can kill them
-need
insulin therapy
involving
several
injections throughout the day ensuring the glucose is removed from the blood
especially
during meal time
-amount of insulin needed to be injected depends on a persons diet and how active they are
-need to limit their food like amount of
simple carbs
eg
sugar
and taking regular exercise
type 2 diabetes
-when a person becomes
resistant
to their own
insulin
-can cause a person’s
blood sugar
level to rise to a dangerous level

chances of developing type 2 diabetes it’s obesity being a major risk
