• Skin can stretch around our bones and muscles due to elastin.
• Elastin helps our lungs to inflate and deflate and our bladder to hold urine.
• Like collagen, elastin helps our blood vessels to stretch and recoil as blood is pumped through them, helping to maintain the pressure wave of blood.
