Point 1- One Strength is that there is evidence to support ISI through Jenness' research.
Because 1- Jenness found that nearly 100% of ppts conformed to majority when guessing the number of white beans in a jar, due to being unsure their answers were correct.
Strength1- Suggests that the theory of conformity has validity. SpecificallyISI as it has been demonstrated to happen.
Point 2- One strength is that there is evidence to support NSI through Asch'sresearch.
Because 2- Asch's experiment showed that 74% of ppts conformed at least once and 36.8% in general. Ppts reported feeling self-conscious when giving an answer different to majority. Conformity dropped to 12.5% when ppts answered privately.
Strength 2- Suggesting at least some conformity due to desire to not be rejected by the group.
