Younger Generation

  • In spite of Markus's claims, I cannot agree. This is because although it seems as if younger people speak far more about climate change. It is actually older people who tend to do more to help protect the environment. This is supported by a census carried out by Aviva, which found that not only were people above the age of 55 ahead in every environmental activity monitored, but those aged 16-24 were the worst offenders in environmental activities.
  • To add to this, the Pew Research Centre found that, while 45% of Gen Z talk about climate change on social media, only 28% actually participate in activities outside of the internet such as volunteering or protest.
