  • Generous benefits to single mothers -> Fathers opt of responsibilities
  • Welfare Dependency -> 'Mother become married to the state'
• Policies that New Right Favour:

  • Creation of CSA (Child Service Agency) -> Make sure fathers paid
  • Increased tax allowances for married couples
  • Lower taxation to enable families to support themselves
  • Cutting benefits to reduce dependency culture
