Deforestation

• Problems caused by deforestation;

  • Trees won't be taking in carbon dioxide from atmosphere for photosynthesis, this contributes to global warming.
  • When trees are burned to clear areas they release lots of carbon dioxide, which creates large clouds of smoke which can suffocate animals and pollute towns.
  • Destroys habitats so there a big reduce in biodiversity.
• Land is often cleared to raise cattle or to plant crops.
