    • demonstration can show wrong technique so incorrect technique adopted
    • expensive for elites
  • verbal:
    • can be used immediately
    • can be used while performer is in motion
    • can allow performer to create mental images
    • wrong mental image could be created
    • best for elites - more understanding as they are more experienced
    • depends on personality of verbalist
  • mechanical and manual:
    • support e.g arm bands, physically moving performer
    • can give support in dangerous situations
    • can help to build confidence
    • used for beginners - may not have confidence as less experiecned
    • can help those with learning difficulties
    • mechanical - performer may become too reliant on support
