  • Modern safety features increase the amount of time taken for an impact.
  • Air bags act as a cushion to prevent injury. It reduces the impact by minimising the affect of the force by extending the time to stop the momentum.
  • Crumple zone in a car absorbs the impact force and give the car a small amount of extra time for the car to lose momentum as it crumples.
  • Selt belts exert a force on a the passenger, and the passenger exerts the force onto the belt. It prevents the passenger flying forwards in a crash.
