  • vaccination:

    • if you are infected again, memory cells will produce these antibodies at a faster rate

  • herd immunity:
    • immunizing a large proportion of the proportion
    • spread of the pathogen is reduced as there are less people to cath the disease
  • advantages of vaccines:
    • eradicated many diseases so far
    • reduced the occurrence of many diseases
    • epidemics can be prevented through herd immunity
  • disadvantages of vaccines:
    • not always effective in providing immunity
    • bad reactions can cause in response to vaccines
