  • Flow Chart: used to answer a specific question by walking viewers through a series of options, revealing the right answer for them. also be used to show how a topic splits off or grows
  • Cheat Sheet: Serves as a quick reference for different kinds of information. Can also be in the form of step-by-step process on how to do things.
  • Comparison: compares and contrasts two different topics, usually side-by-side. used to show how much two things have in common, how much they differ, or how superior or inferior one thing is over another.
  • Numerical: primary content is comprised of numbers, charts, graphs, or statistical data.
  • Photo Infographic: used to help visualize real-life concepts or tell a story. offers a unique, eye-catching experience.
  • Data Visualization: Also used for large data, but the focus is on creative visualization. Highly dependent on design to be effectively visualized.
  • Visme: has an archive of pictures and fonts that you can use in creating great infographics. In enables its users to share their work online. One of its strengths is its ability to create sophisticated and professional-looking graphics because it can handle animation and interactive graphic elements.
  • Canva: is a good platform to start with especially if you are a novice graphic designer. It provides its users with step-by-step guides and tips through tasks like choosing appropriate colors and fonts.
  • Piktochart: is probably one of the most used infographic platforms with five million users. It has been widely regarded as an industry standard. Graphs and charts created not only for presentations and graphic design but also perfect for web publishing.
  • Infogram: provides a great number of templates which can easily be customized by its users. Aside from this, it also provides 35 types of charts and 500 different maps, stock images to help users create awesome infographic design. One of its strengths is that it has a very user-friendly interface as well as its larger repository of visual elements that can easily be selected and dropped in.
  • Easel.ly: is another good platforms for beginners because of its intuitive interface and library of tutorials and examples. One of the strong points of the platform is that its format forces the user to cut away all of the extraneous and potentially confusing information and focus only on what is essential in getting their message across to their audience

  • DropBox: It allows the user to edit a file and have that file sent and updated on the computers of the file’s collaborators who use the same service. Users can upload, reuse, manage and share selected photos or album. One of the best providers for transferring and sharing specific photos or folders with others.
  • Instagram: An online mobile social networking service that allows members to share life moments through photos and videos and share in public or with specific people.
  • Imgur: One of the best image hosting sites where speed and quality of upload are concerned. Useful in sharing pictures on social networking sites.
  • Google Photos: One of the best applications in accessing and backing up photos. Can be synchronized directly to a personal account through a device. Can organize photos according to different descriptors.
  • Flickr: Allows for free photo sharing and hosting amongst social networking users. Has editing features to enhance photos and organizes the photos into album for later sharing.
  • Photobucket: A site where images, photos, videos and slideshows can be stored and shared. It allows collaboration with friends and families in photo album. A built-in organizer that enables easy placement of photos into albums
  • YouTube: A website where users can upload, view and share video clips. Most of the contents are voluntarily uploaded by members and can be watched or embedded into websites.
  • Vimeo: The first global video sharing website to support high-definition video user uploads, shares and views.
