  enteritis (inflammation of small bowel)

  colitis (inflammation of large bowel)

  crohn disease (chronic inflammatory bowel disease)

  diverticulosis (presence of diverticula)

  polyps (inpuchings)

  intussusception (telescoping of bowel)

  obstruction (blockage)

  ileus (temporary absence of normal contractile movements of intestines can lead to non mechanical obstruction of small bowel)

  neoplasm (new growth)

  volvulus (twisting, lead to mechanical obstruction)
