Early life and family background

• The Prophet Muhammad PBUH was born on 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal in the year of the elephant.
• The Prophet's father's name was Abdullah.
• The Prophet's mothers name was Aaminah.
• The Prophet's grandfather's name was Abdul Muttalib.
• The Prophet's uncle's name was Abu Talib.
• The prophet was named Muhammad by his grandfather and Ahmad by his Mother, both of which have been mentioned in the Qur'an.
• The Prophet's mother died when he was six years old.
• When the Prophet was eight years old, his grandfather passed away as well.
• The Prophet's father passed away before he was born.
• After the Prophet's mother died, he was entrusted to his grandfather.
• After The Prophet's grandfather passed away, he was entrusted to his uncle, Abu Talib.
• According to the custom of Arabia, new born's were sent away from busy cities to be raised by wet nurses.
• The Prophet's wet nurse was Halima of the tribe of Banu Saad.
• The Prophet's father died when he was coming back from Syria from a mercantile expedition when he fell ill and died, leaving behind 5 camels, a flock of goats and a slave girl named Barakah.
• The Prophet's mother died when he went with her to visit his father's grave and passed away on the journey back at Abwa.
• While the prophet was with Halima, blessing and good fortune surrounded her and there was never a shortage of food and her flock yielded milk in abundance.
• When the prophet was 5, Angel Jibraeel came, opened his chest and took out a clot of blood from his heart and washed it with Zam Zam water.
• The prophet learnt pure Arabic dialect while he was with Banu Saad for 5 years.
• The prophet was born in the tribe of Banu Hashim of the Quraysh.
• The Prophet's grandfather, and later his uncle Abu Talib were the chiefs of the tribe.
• When the prophet was a young boy, he used to take care of the flocks of Abu Talib.
• When he was 12, the prophet accompanied his uncle Abu Talib on a trade journey to Syria where they met a Christian monk named Bahira who saw the signs of prophethood in the prophet and told Abu Talib to take care of him.
• In the Battle of Fijar, which broke out in the fair of ukaz, the prophet helped his uncles in battle by picking up arrows and giving it to them.
• When the prophet was 15 years old, a war broke out between the Quraysh and Hawazin in the Hajj season despite it being forbidden, and the truce of Fudul was made in the house of Abdullah bin Jadan tobprotect the right of the opressed and provide them with justice.
• The prophet was known as as-Sadiq and Al-Amin for his honesty and truthfulness.
• The prophet was a merchant by profession
• When the prophet was 35 years old, heavy Rainfalls and floods damaged the kaaba and so the Quraysh started rebuilding it as there was a fear of the kaaba collapsing, but when there was the question that who would place the Black stone, an elder suggested that the first person to enter the mosque next morning would do it. The prophet happened to be the first person and so what he did was that he made the leaders of all the tribes raise the stone to the level where it was to be deposited and then he himself placed it, and thats how he used his wisdom to avoid bloodshed
