aim - investigate how varying mass affects the the acceleration produced by a constant force
- use a toy car attached to a piece of string, the string is looped around a pulley and the other end is attached to a 100g mass, which will act as a force acting on the car. need a timer
- on the desk, draw chalk lines at equal intervals every 10cm
- hold toy car at starting point and let go. the resultant force acting through the string will cause the car to accelerate along desk
- record the time the car passes each distance marker
- repeat experiment by decreasing mass each time by 20g
- when taking away some mass, transfer that mass onto car to keep overall mass of object the same
