  • 1920 - Hitler takes over a small party and names them the National Socialist German Workers Party ( Nazis for short )
  • 1923 - The Nazis try a putsch in Munich and it fails and Hitler goes to jail
  • 1924 - Hitler only serves 9 years and writes Mein Kampf
  • 1926 - Bamburg conference showed the Nazi party that Hitler was their leader and should be obeyed
  • 1929 - wall street crash causes people to suffer and turn to Hitler as an alternative to Weimar democracy
  • 1932 - Hitler runs for president and looses but gains a lot of support
  • 1933 - Hitler becomes chancellor
  • President Hindenburg - Was the president from 1925 till 1934 when he dies
  • Ludendorff - Joined Hitler in the Putsch
  • Ernst Rohm - leader of the SA brownshirts
  • Franz Von Papen - largely responsible for Hitler becoming chancellor
  • Nationalism - where all policies are organised to make a nation stronger and more independent
