  • Aisha was married to the prophet at the age of 6 in Makkah, but the the wedding was solemnized 3 years later in Madinah in 2AH.
  • Aisha's friends used to visit her even after marriage.
  • The verses of Tayammum were revealed when the Muslims were delayed on her account in a desert . Aisha had lost her necklace during a journey, the prophet stopped to look for it. It was the time for namaz and the Muslims had to pray, but there was no water for ablution. Thats when the verses of Tayammum were revealed to perform wuzi when water was not available.
  • Once verses were revealed to prove her innocence. This was when she was on a journey and had to use the restroom and got delayed. Meanwhile, the people who carried her Howdah, put her curtained Howdah on the camel and left without noticing she was in it. When she came back, everyone had left, so she sat down in hope that they would come back for her. The next morning, a companion who was left behind found her sitting and brought her back to Madinah by seating her on the camel and walking it by foot. This caused a huge scandal, but her innocence was proved by some verses revealed in Surah Nur.
  • Aisha was the most beloved wife of the prophet. The prophet went to her apartment in his final Illness and died in her lap
  • Aisha sides with Talha and Zubair when they rebelled against Ali because he failed to apprehend the assassin of Usman. She fought against him in the Battle of Camel.
  • Aishah spent 10 years with the prophet and lived 48 years after his death.
  • Aisha was a lady of great intelligence and excellent memory. Aishah narratated 2210 traditions.
  • Aishah died at the age of 66 in 57 AH and was buried in Jannat ul Baqi.
