Ramlah Binte Abu Sufyan

• Ramlah was the daughter of Abu Sufyan ibn Harb.
• Ramlah was also called umm-e-Habibah because of her daughter named Habibah.
• Ramlah was married to Abdullah ibn Jahash, whom she accepted Islam with and migrated to Abyssinia, where Abdullah died. The prophet then sent her a proposal while she was in Abyssinia.
• Ramlah was extremely devoted to the prophet. When Abu Sufyan came to the prophet to have the treaty of Hudaibiyah renewed, he also went to visit his daughter, but when we ment to sit on the Prophet's bed, she didn't let him as Abu Sufyan was an idol worshipper.
• Ramlah strictly followed the sunnah. She wore perfume a few days after her father's death to show that a Muslim was not supposed to mourn a dead more than 3 days.
• When Usman was besieged in his house, she took water for him but the rebels did not let her in.
• Ramlah died at the age of 73 in 44AH during the reign of her brother Muawiyah.
