Edward and the merchants favoured an alliance with Burgundy
in November 1467 a commercial treaty was signed with Burgundy. the following spring a marriage treaty was agreed where Edward's sister would marry the new Duke of Burgundy

Edwards taking the decisions of England into his own hands caused Warwick to disagreeing and lead to him rebelling
Edward dismissed George Neville ( Warwick's brother) from his post as Chancellor. Causing Warwick to leave court in 1467 and he didn't return till early 1468
the burgundy alliance showed Warwick didn't have as much influence over Edward as he assumed
he failed to secure on of Philip of Burgundy's nieces as his wife in October 1461
